I’m responsible for…
Everything to do with parts when it comes to Bailey Trailers.
I order parts in for the yard from all over the globe, ranging from the smallest bolt to large tanks for certain types of trailers.
The main part of my job however is to send parts out for all our Bailey Trailers and to give to support to farmers and dealers.
My approach to the role is…
My approach to working, not only in this job but all of my previous jobs, is to enjoy what I’m doing. I feel you spend too much time at the workplace and if you do not enjoy what you are doing then you will not have the passion to be your best. I enjoy the different challenges that comes with this job and no day is ever the same. So I would say my approach is to enjoy, learn on the job and do my very best on a daily basis.
The most enjoyable part of my role is… Learning on the job. Baileys has been manufacturing trailers since 1982 and many of those trailers are still working well to this day. However, I was only born in 1993 so I find it very interesting sending parts to trailers that are potentially 10 years older than myself, and to hear the stories from the farmers in regards to what those trailers have done and what they are still doing to this day.
The least enjoyable part of my role is…
The many different types of parts that comes with Bailey Trailers. We have over 2000 different spare parts and it’s sometimes difficult to understand which part a customer may need.
I would say that life at Bailey is…
Busy! I get into work at 8:00 and the factory is already in full swing. All our workers are dedicated and hard working, and this reflects on our final products.
Before joining Bailey my role was…
In a completely different industry – before working in Bailey Trailers I worked in education for 7 years. My previous job was working in a secondary school for four years dealing with children’s safeguarding and behaviour.
The best advice I’ve ever been given…
Was from a typical man at a typical pub. He had told me to treat others how you want to be treated, regardless of background, ethnicity etc.
Rugby or football?
I would have to choose…I enjoying watching both Rugby and Football – however if I had to choose, I would choose football. My father is a huge Liverpool fan and I inherited that from him.
