The benefits of using water bowsers in the field have been known to farm contractors for a number of years. However, as a result of arable farms expanding their acreage further afield and switching over to liquid fertiliser, there is now a growing demand for filling up in the field.
Previous research by agri chemical businesses has shown that using a bowser to transport water to the field can increase productivity by up to 26%, when compared with driving the sprayer back and forth to the yard to fill up.
The flow of innovation
We have been designing and manufacturing water bowsers for over 12 years. During this time, we have developed a range of bowsers covering a multitude of capacities ranging from 12,000 to 18,000 litres. Working closely with a specialist tank manufacturer, all models feature an elliptical, low centre of gravity translucent fibreglass tank. We specify a true fixed baffle tank to reduce sloshing and increase stability during transport.
